What is NLP


Neuro means nerves or nervous system. Which is the physical as well as mental component of our body.

Linguistic is the language we use to communicate with others. It's also the internal communication we do with ourselves in the form of thoughts, feelings, conversations.

We already know what programming means.

Think of NLP as a program which gives us control on our own system OS as you many say. Now why do we need control on ourselves, don't we already have it. Well yes, that's what we always like to think. Let's take an example, I know for a fact how important it is for me to lose weight, if I don't I will eventually have many problems when I grow old. But what happens when I go out on Friday night with my friends, I see yummy food, drinks and I immediately give up the thought of going lite on my food.

If I had a program to control myself, I would be able to make changes in myself which are immediate and effectively.

The reason why we don't know why we behave in a certain manner is because we don't know how we have been coded, no one gave us a Technical Design, or a user manual of how our program works. We know about our self based on the experiences we had in our life time. And these experiences are limited by the situations, conditions, variable, loops our life have been through.

What if I say that NLP is the user manual of our operating system, and it allows us to install the program we want to, and achieve the expected output we desire.

Scenario : I have a Windows 8 (Host) laptop on which I am running two OEL6U3 (Guest) machines in a Virtual Box. Oracle SQL Developer 19.4 font too small

I downloaded the latest version of Oracle SQL developer on my windows laptop and when I started it, the font on GUI was too small. To fix the font size scroll to the bottom of the  'Welcome Page' and uncheck 'show on startup'. Restart the SQL Developer and issue will be fixed.
